Occupier Care Package

The team at Middlesbrough is dedicated to making sure that you get the premises and the working life in the town you are expecting.

During the tenancy – Dedicated Development Manager

To enable a swift response, a dedicated, single point of contact will provide day-to-day support and act as a liaison for the tenant.

Smooth running – Infrastructure Support

The support services will be designed to encompass all aspects of working life to ensure a happy and productive work/life balance supported by a well-planned infrastructure.

Day-to-day support can include:

  • Sustainable travel planning support ensuring that all employees are made aware of the relevant public transport routes for them and have access to discounts. The development manager will work with occupiers and the bus companies to tailor the bus services to meet the needs of Centre Square staff
  • Management of the Centre Square discount card, which allows employees access to discounts for food, drink, entertainment and services from local businesses
  • Access to all of Middlesbrough’s business networks and forums – making you feel connected to the business community from day one
  • Regular updates regarding events occurring in Centre Square and adjacent locations
  • Estates Management – the scope of the package will include a combination of onsite and CCTV security, landscaping, cleaning and maintenance of public areas and gritting of roads and footpaths
  • Strategic liaison with Middlesbrough Council, Middlesbrough College, Teesside University and Tees Valley Combined Authority

Workplace Health

We will support you and your staff in achieving optimum workplace health. Middlesbrough Council offers a wide range of public health services and facilities within walking distance of Centre Square. We will provide you with a directory of all the free public health services that can be accessed including access to a gym, mental health awareness training and smoking cessation. The development manager will also seek to identify your specific needs and determine how they can be met by utilising Council facilities and providers – for example, by arranging extended hours’ access to the gym and arranging exercise classes in the Town Hall. Where necessary we will also engage with private providers to fill any gaps. Some of this will require funding.

Local Directory

We will support your staff in relocating to the area by providing them with contacts and advice on how to access the services and facilities required in their and their family’s daily life.
